Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Sales Outreach: Actively engage with EPC contractors, solar installers, and other potential partners across South Africa to introduce and promote Innovation Africa’s premium range of solar panels, inverters, and energy solutions.
New Business Acquisition: Identify, target, and onboard new business opportunities to expand the company’s reach within both urban and rural markets.
Inbound Sales Handling: Manage and respond to sales inquiries received via email, WhatsApp, and online campaigns, ensuring timely and professional communication.
Proposal & Marketing Material Distribution: Share tailored proposals, brochures, and flyers with prospective clients to support the sales conversation and brand awareness.
Sales Quotations & Target Achievement: Create competitive sales quotes, manage the complete sales cycle, and work towards achieving monthly and quarterly targets.
Follow-ups & Client Communication: Maintain consistent and strategic follow-ups with prospects to nurture leads and close deals efficiently.
Dealer & Channel Partner Support: Serve as the liaison between Innovation Africa and its dealer/distributor network to facilitate smooth deal closures for solar modules, inverters, and full turnkey systems.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
B2B Sales Expertise: Proven ability to generate and convert business leads in the B2B solar or energy sector.
Business Development Skills: Strong capability in identifying opportunities, nurturing prospects, and closing deals effectively.
Excellent Communication: Clear, persuasive, and professional verbal and written communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Solar Industry Knowledge: Understanding of solar energy products, trends, and market dynamics.
Preferred Industry Experience: Previous experience in the solar or renewable energy industry is highly advantageous.
Educational Background: Minimum qualification – any graduate (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Sales Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on sales experience, ideally within a technical or renewable energy environment.

Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and solar industry developments to adapt sales tactics and identify new opportunities.
Relationship Management: Build trusted relationships with key clients by understanding their needs and offering tailored energy solutions.
Calendar Management: Plan and manage meetings, appointments, and follow-ups to ensure consistent engagement with prospects and existing clients.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Solar PV Industry Insight: Strong commercial awareness of solar PV technologies, including product specifications and market applications.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of solar panels, their components, and performance characteristics.
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional skills in pitching, negotiating, and presenting proposals to various stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Capable of handling diverse client requirements and offering prompt, effective solutions.
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
Professional Experience: 3+ years of proven success in field sales—preferably in the solar, energy, or power sector.
Mobility: Willingness to travel across South Africa for business development activities.
